Wearable Therapy isn't just a clothing company. We're a company that was created to give individuals a voice - a way to speak their mind without speaking. This isn't only done through innovative and artistic clothing designs (though we do have plenty of those); it is also accomplished by speaking up about the issues that get ignored and sharing the stories of others through our blog site, standupspeakuptokii.com.
We believe that people need to start conversations about the social issues that are important to them. A great way to get the conversation rolling is to wear something that sparks a discussion.
Our clothing translates your thoughts into fashion. Every item's design allows you to wear your passion and emotion on your sleeve- literally. The designs all make a statement about important issues - be it homelessness, abuse, or depression. We don't think that any topic should be taboo. How can you solve a problem if no one is willing to talk about it?
Although we aren't a not-for-profit, we put money towards funding our own outreach projects through the Tokii Teens @ Risk Program, which is a website dedicated to helping teens who have been affected by abuse, addiction and homelessness in the Greater Toronto Area.
We're also always looking for people who are making a difference in their own way to donate shirts to. If you or someone you know is in a group (or on their own!) dedicated to making a difference in the world, let us know and we'll donate related products. We'll also feature you in our blog, standupspeakuptokii.com, and will promote your cause.
Our designs are one-of-a-kind, created by artists who are inspired to spread important messages through fashion and design. The artwork alone is enough to make our clothing stand out, but the meaning behind the artwork takes it to a whole new level. It's not often that you can speak your mind silently.
