Karla is moved by the ability to help others. Whether that is by bringing a voice to causes, or sitting and listening to a teen tell her their experiences, she believes that the key to change in this world is action. She strives to affect people from a personal level, getting to know who they are and what they need and helping to make that happen.
Zachary Tolstoy is the Co-Founder of Wearable Therapy by Tokii. His passion for making the world a better place is part of the reason his mother, Karla Stephens-Tolstoy, decided to start the company.
Born in 2001, Zach is one teen who understands the importance of speaking up for social change. Every day he strives to make the world a better place, and Wearable Therapy gives him a way to see his words and actions make a difference. He puts a lot of his own time and energy into making sure that Wearable Therapy is the change agent the world needs.
Zach is one of our models and contributes to our social media posts. He also generates ideas that keep us moving in the right direction. When he's not doing that, you can usually find him perfecting his magic tricks.
There is immense value in conversation and that is where and why Wearable Therapy by Tokii began — It all started as a conversation about self-discovery and development and what it is that holds us back from making the changes that are needed in this world and within ourselves. And, more importantly, what we could do to foster more positivity and boost self-esteems within our customers.
We started making connections and emphasizing the concept of a personal brand. For teens and adults, who we are is not always expressed by what we wear, or how we decorate our home. We saw a chance to show that there is a lot of power in our personal style. And, that there is even more in owning who you are and being willing to show it off to the world.
