Brain Clutter

When we are overcome with dark thoughts, it can start to feel like they are piling up in your brain, pushing out any chance you might have of holding onto a positive way of thinking. This design is meant to give you the strength and drive that you're looking for to find a solution by recognizing (and even embracing) the problem rather than running from it. This design can show you that having an overactive brain can be better than feeling completely numb and hopeless. It just means that you have a lot going on in there and that you might have to push a little harder to find the light!

What do you think of this design?  What images and thoughts does it conjure up in you and how does it help show the world who you are?  Add to the conversation by commenting below.

I can really relate to this piece. It seems that once I start down a path of negative thoughts, it spirals out of control and I have to work so hard to bring myself back into the light. One thought leads to another and the next thing I know, I’m in a dark place.

I didn’t notice this one on my first scroll through. This is another good B&W, good on a shirt just for a simple striking design. Nothing much to think about, just a self-effecing statement I guess. Nothing anyone but some old church lady to get upset about.

It feels immediately relatable. I think we all deal with this on a daily basis. It reminded me of every night lying down and just trying to clear my head as I try and go to sleep.

The lines and style of this image seem well placed on a t-shirt. But the Halloween-like nature of the images within the person’s brain make it too on-the-nose for use as a therapeutic reminder of how we ought to try to have less cluttered minds.

This one speaks to something we all go through. Times of anxiety, rage, and depression plague everyone at one time or another. People are complex beings and this art definitely gets that message across.

This is what it feels like when you can’t stop thinking about the bad things. Like you’re just a skull filled with misery and regret, and there’s so much to be scared of. I like that there’s an outline of a person there. That reminds me maybe I should change the contrast. Shine a light on the person I am and let it scare away the darkness.
