Find Me in My Dreams

We all have that happy place where we feel most like ourselves. For some, it is a place that they can often physically be in, like their home or a vacation spot. But, for others, it is a place that they are only able to occupy when they dive into the depths of their own mind and dreams. This design, created Sreejith V., is inspired by the power and serenity that can come from sending yourself off to the happiest place that lives inside of your own head. Whether you use this as a destination before going off to sleep or just need a focal point during a moment of meditation, this design could help you get to your perfect place.

What do you think of this design?  What images and thoughts does it conjure up in you and how does it help show the world who you are?  Add to the conversation by commenting below.

The level of detail in this picture goes beyond what I see in my dreams. This is more like a fantasy or a directed dream

Although very naive and simplistic, I really enjoy the thoughts this picture placed in my head.
I think we all need to escape in our own minds to someplace safe and magical.
Clearly staying there or dwelling there can be dangerous, but so can staying too grounded in reality.
We all need a place to be free and imagine.

This piece’s monochromatic look makes the mood ambiguous. The subject is surrounded by wine glasses and books – traditional means of escape. We want to escape from reality when our lives are less than ideal. The subject represents someone struggling disappointment, dreaming of getting away.

I like the intentionality and consistency of the theme in this image.
The regularity of the shading technique creates a sense of security that the turbulent world portrayed can rely on giving the viewer the assurance that she can return at any time. The features of the character in the corner seem expertly chosen to portray a poetess.

Meditation has saved me. This is exactly what it’s like.
I see different images, but they have that feeling like a rolling wave that’s taking me somewhere peaceful and safe.
I don’t feel like I am the girl in the picture.
I feel like she’s there to guide me.
